I definitely love painting figures with pastel because this medium allows me to draw, paint and carve the subject. I am so exited when my figures successfully merge with the background, and I love playing with lights and shades. I also like playing with acrylics the same way, adding layers of shades, scraping the canvas, or using other techniques.
